We’re celebrating all year-long to mark our 75th anniversary!
We are excited to keep rolling out more events and opportunities to (re-)connect with each other in places and spaces throughout the country (and world!), culminating in a our biggest event of the year – TY 75th Anniversary Celebration Week at Tel Yehudah in August 2023!
Make sure we’ve got your up-to-date information, so you’ll be the first to hear about events happening near you! And, if you have any ideas, want to lend a hand, or just want to reach out and say hi, drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Watch this space for more details and updates as events and plans come together throughout the year.
TY @ YOUR TABLES
EXTENDED TO FRIDAYS IN WINTER 2022/2023
YOUR HOMES (OR WHEREVER YOU CHOOSE!)
Register to Host
Imagine if you had an opportunity to invite your TY besties to your own Shabbat table, while others around the world did the same? It’s not too late!
This winter, we are celebrating Shabbat, TY-Style!
Shabbat gatherings are still taking place into January and beyond! All you’ll have to do is sign up to host a Shabbat dinner. You can make it a private event, where you invite just your own TY friends, OR open your dinner to the public – we’ll help you spread the word and allow other TYniks near you to find and RSVP to your dinner (scroll down to see our current list of open Shabbat gatherings you can attend!).
We have curated a special Shabbat dinner kit – a ‘Shabbox’! – that we will send to registered Shabbat dinner hosts**. We know you can create an amazing Shabbat dinner on your own, so we’re providing a few fun elements to help us all share a common TY Shabbat experience – even though we’re not in Barryville.
**Note: Shabbox supplies are limited – as of January 11, 2023, ONLY 5 Shabboxes are left! You can still register to host a TY @ Your Tables Shabbat and receive your special TY Shabbox until supplies run out. However, please note that since the priority registration deadline has passed, we cannot guarantee the arrival date of your box ahead of your scheduled dinner, due to postal and supply chain limitations and delays during this holiday season that are out of our control.
Some items you’ll find in your Shabbox include:
– A special Shabbat kit with the items you need, including candles, kiddush cup, challah cover, and more bonus camp-inspired goodies!
– Our 75th-anniversary special-edition Shabbat Shiron including Shabbat Shira favorites through the generations
There is nothing like Shabbat at Tel Yehudah and we are excited to help you bring camp Shabbat and all of its magic to YOUR dinner table this December and beyond!
RSVP FOR A SHABBAT NEAR YOU!
Below are TY @ Your Tables Shabbat gatherings hosted by members of the TY community that are open to any and all to join and enjoy a camp Shabbat together with other local TYniks. TY TIKKUN PROJECT
LAUNCHES JANUARY (MLK WEEKEND) 2023
Serve with Repair the World
Tikkun olam (repairing the world) has always been a core tenet of who we are as Judaeans. So, what better way to celebrate and live our camp values than to join in service together!
Serve with Repair the World for MLK Weekend & Black History Month – Click here to find an in-person volunteer opportunity in a community near you OR volunteer virtually.
Beginning this MLK Weekend, the entire TY community – teens, alums, families, and friends – can serve alongside one another through our friends at Repair the World. Whether you get your camp friends together and choose serve in-person at a local project in Brooklyn, Atlanta, or Miami OR download a guide to participate in a virtual service project from your very own home – you can take action and make a difference!
Are you interested in becoming a TY service event captain for your community? We’re looking for folks to champion and help serve as hosts at additional local service events we’re organizing in communities around the country. If this could be you, drop us a line here!
