Below you will find a very brief description of each Shikva (age group) at camp. For a longer explanation, please visit the website. Please choose the shikva you are most interested in working with. THIS IS NOT A GUARANTEE you will be placed in your requested shikva but gives us an idea of where you feel most comfortable and ready to succeed. Finally, please do not select the same shikva option twice. If you are only working for Bloc 1 you do not need to fill this out.
Alumim: 9th graders will explore what it means to have a relationship with Israel through different lenses such as an American Jew’s perspective, an Israeli Jew’s perspective and more.
Yachad: 10th graders will discuss Jewish Pluralism and explore how to “be” Jewish in many different ways, looking at different Jewish communities throughout the world and how Judaism is expressed in those areas.
Hadracha: 11th graders will dive into the world of Social Action through Tikun Groups and practical activities as well as taking on some leadership opportunities within camp.
